How are you currently involved in the Transition?

I've just moved to Ferndale. We bought a cool old dairy farm on nine acres, and we're getting started with trying to build a sustainable garden. The house has four huge apple trees, an old barn, a silo -- this is all new for us!

Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?

I'm a writer, gardener, chef and foodie. I can do anything from PR work to editing pamphlets to putting up jam!

I've just moved to the area and I'm looking to connect with like-minded people. We homeschool, are gentle parents, and are trying to eat locally and organic, and I'd like be around people who believe that same things we do!
