I organize the Power Past Coal campaign for RE Sources for Sustainable Communities to help stop coal export proposals from supplying coal from the United States to markets in Asia.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I am interested in helping move beyond fossil fuels and unsustainable industrial practices that threaten human quality of life, if not our survival on earth.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I am interested in a number of issues related to sustainability. I'm also an experienced community organizer and researcher having worked for years in Bellingham to catalyze and build support for policy, elect public officials, and engage people in both political and personal choices directed toward long-term change.
