In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?

I believe all of us need to be more self-reliant. I am running for the Washington State House of Representatives and I would like to support the mission of Transition Whatcom in any way I can as an elected official in Olympia.

Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?

I enjoy initiating good community programs and projects. In the past, I initiated the Whatcom Farm Map and Guide as well as the Procession of the Species. I'm good at talking people into supporting these sorts of projects. My interests tend to focus on future and big picture concepts and ideas. I usually focus on the root of a problem when looking for solutions.

In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?

Everson/Goshen

Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?

I recently attended the Goshen Transition Group Potluck and found the values expressed by the people there in line with my own.
