Member of the Transition Fairhaven Initiating Committee
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I'm interested personally in reducing my carbon footprint. I'm concerned about consumption of resources and am interested in using less. I'd like our community to become more self-sustaining.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
This kind of movement is new to me. I've never been involved in civic activities, so I am in the learning mode. I teach, I love to cook, and I am motivated to learn and be involved.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Chuckanut Drive
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?

It will be a great Day! I'll pass on Steve W email to Jeff and ask him to send out to his old Roving Garden Work party list. I think lots of folks will come and lots will get done! Great work to you all visioning and creating this event!
Hi Joanne, hope you were able to make the connections with Jeff & Meredith for spreading the word on this Sat work party!
Looking forward to meeting you in person & working together!
Thank you for all you've done to help make this event happen!
Hi Joanne, Yes I agree about drawing more folks in with creative fest!!! Then if there are more workers than work, then we can hopefully enjoy the festivity and maybe even get some of the many bulbs replanted that might still need to be done in the garden! I hope to attend though there is some chance I won't be able to . Has someone asked Shannon M to post the event in her Garden E-News yet? The event can also be promoted on Earth Gardens groups that has many of the past rolving gardeners on it, plus Jeff W. has an email list he can post to if requested. I'll send you my email & phone number in case need to connect. Also sometimes Meredith can be requested to post events on her facebook event invites. I'll forward you my email & phone number.
