Actively involved in community and non-profit work and deeply interested in alternate forms of community and economy in order to help rebuild society and bring us closer together. Currently involved with the early development of a healing and education center in Central Oregon.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I'm attracted to the egalitarian aspects of the movement and its hope to get people involved with the solution process instead of reliance upon the government.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I have been a builder/contractor, an urban planner and a corporate facilities manager. I'm a facilitator by nature and focus on building 'bridges' instead of 'dams'. I helped start one of the early versions of 'intentional community' back in the seventies that was based on the Findhorn model.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
A friend on Facebook while we were visiting a Zen Center in northern Calif.
