How are you currently involved in the Transition?

I discovered them on the web through an acquaintance that informed me of the site.

In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?

Self sufficiency is paramount as it not only allows us to make decisions on fuel, food, etc. to meet our needs locally. I have had an heartfelt interest in all "renewable" forms of energy all of my life. I am 35 now and just graduated with an A.S. in Diesel Mechanics. I took the Biodiesel and Green Energy classes this past summer and now need to network with my community. That is it in a nutshell.

Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?

I am a beginner Diesel Mechanic and have construction experience, a positive attitude, and maybe other attributes that may blossom through cooperative efforts with the rest of the community.

Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?

Searched for the site after it was brought to my attention by an acquaintance.
