In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?

Owner of a 50 acre community arts center. I wish to learn more about how to care for it (gardening, remidiation, care of existing natural zones) as well as provide a resource to others interested in gardening based permaculture.

Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?

I help run the Lookout Arts Quarry, an arts center, developed campground and event site in Alger, WA. We are interested in hosting permaculture events as a component of our multi-faceted arts focused property. Our site is a remediated rock quarry with a pristine 80' deep lake at its center, tall cliffs, forest, fields and abundant wetlands. We utilize alternative energy systems, build largely from recycled/found materials (lots of rocks!), and have implemented permaculture as a way of life as well as a landscaping tool.
