Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition?
I am new to the Transition.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I can see the government is heading in the wrong direction on many fronts. Economic recovery depends on jobs, and industry stepping up to the plate to pay their fair share. We need to protect collective bargaining rights, and we need election reform, and to reverse the Citizens United decision. We need congress to re-connect with the idea they are public servents. Nothing galls me more than seeing those whose salaries are paid by taxpayers obstructing what they were elected to do, and to take extra time off during session. If I did that in my job, I'd be fired!
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
A background in Workforce Education and expertise working with people on TANF, General Assistance, Social Security, and other disadvantaged populations.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
I live in Ferndale and work on the Lummi reservation.
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
Through Pam Bosch.
