Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition?
I have been watching the process and listening to the ideas involved in getting the local Transition group going.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
A response to the crazy idea that a country can base it's existance on consuming.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
As a real estate agent I help clients define and find places where they can thrive. I bring knowledge about green building, growth and development issues, affordable housing, land trusts, infill, urban villages, housing and lending issues, water and shorelands, fields and farms and a multitude of issues humans generate in their decisions about what kind of a roof they choose to live under. As a member of the City of Bellingham Planning Commission I dig into local issues. As a person who lived off the grid for years on a remote island, and still do from time to tiem, I get it.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Sehom is home. Columbia neighborhood is where my office is.

Hi Danne,
I am wondering if you would be able to host a flock of chickens made out of wood + a sign to promote The Great Unleashing for three or four days during March in the front yard of your office?
It's a roving display, and if you're game, you would transport the display and install it on the front lawn of the next person on the list. It's super easy, the chickens stick into the ground, and I am a backup for any problems or repairs. Please call or email if you're able to host the flock. 738-2148 or julietthompson 'at' comcast dot net THANKS
