My wife and I are planning to move to Whatcom county and are trying to make a very intentional and sustainable choice for residence.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I took the WSU extension Master Composter program in 2008 and totally identify with such practices. I see oil dependent living as something that has led civilization beyond living within our more natural human and community oriented means.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I can be involved as a volunteer, where labor/teaching is needed. I have limited knowledge but some experience with composting. I have worked as a tree climber and have tree/plant management experience.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
presently not in Whatcom county
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
Chris Moerman, active member in Maple RIdge, B.C.'s Transition Initiative.
