I am not involved, but would very much like to be.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I beleive that we need to be pro-active in protecting our environment and ecosystems. Protecting the future of our planet, for the children and grandchildren to come. I wish it was a top priority for everyone. We have the power to make a change. We can start small in our neighborhoods and communities. Work together and teach one another and help one another. We're all in this together : )
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
Anything that i can! I've never grown my own food, but am really excited to learn. I would love to be part of community gardens. One resource that I can think of, that sounds silly, is that i know a lot of people. I can definetly recruit people, and bring people together. Spread the word.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
I live at the top of Alabama Hill.
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
I'm currently attending Whatcom Community College. I am in an Environmental Science class. Part of our grade is volunteering at The Food Bank farm. Today while i was there, i was talking to one of the directors about my concerns about our planet, and its future. She wrote down your website, and told me about it.
