Working, living, breathing community at O.U.R. Ecovillage, a sustainable learning and demonstration site.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I identify with the transition movement because after realizing that we are all connected, I feel it is part of my purpose to cultivate greater awareness to sustainable community, food, and living. I feel that through the use of shared knowledge we can create a dynamic environment that is both beneficial and healthy to all.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I have a relatively new interest in food sustainability and wish to pursue it farther by helping developing ideas that bring together all people with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions. I'm also part of OUR Ecovillage's communications and marketing team. Bringing awareness about community and sustainability to the greater public through the introduction of workshops/programs/ and general 'going-ons' of what OUR Ecovillage does on it's 25 acre site and beyond in wider community.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
I heard about it on Facebook from Heather Ktahdn of Earthcare Garden Design. From her connection I visited your website.

I would like to be apart of this community to contribute, to grow it, and share it so that one day we call can live more vibrant, sustainable lives
