Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition?
I'm not currently involved but have heard a lot about Transition Whatcom. // I have started organizing an event to stream a climate change conference in Scotland in April 2019. The conference is called Climate Change and Consciousness. I have been interested in creating, from this conference, a network of people and their skills. Someone told me about Transition Whatcom, and it sounds like I don't have to invent the wheel!
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I've come to accept my terror about survival. I don't have kids, and I am actively wondering if I should. At the same time, I see the potential for re-creating our societies, and creating an even more beautiful and healthy world than we have--it's not just about survival, but also about possibility. My main drive is a love of the earth and the wild, and a deep desire to preserve wild spaces for future generations.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
writing, editing, coaching around the creative process. Teenagers, embodiment, and resilience. Twelve years of dance-mindfulness practice, and the transformations that come with vulnerability within a safe group. I am training in Jin Shin Jyutsu, an energetic healing modality. I also bring a robust personal network.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Sehome
