How are you currently involved in the Transition?

I am new to the Transistion movement and just getting my bearings. However, since settling in B'ham last year it has been a monthly goal each month to find something small to do each month that will reduce my negative impact on the environment. Specifically, I try to find a way to have 5% less waste each month and I try to reuse or recyce household items.

In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?

I would like to know more people who choose to reuse/recycle intentionally. I want to find new things to bring into my home and new ideas to teach my daughter as her life develops.

Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?

As a fundamentalist Muslim revert, my view point and experiences are not quite the ordinary. I think I offer an interesting new angle of perspective as well as a sincere desire to improve my habits and encourage others to do the same.

Downtown

Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?

Random internet search for information on local activism and community garden opportunities.
