In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?

The future looks challenging. It makes sense to work together now to ensure a high quality of life for all as resources tighten, political tensions rise, the climate changes unpredictably, and population continues to boom. I believe humans have the capacity and tools to move toward a more sustainable and more fulfilling lifestyle, but it remains to be seen whether we can muster the will. By communicating effectively, cooperating, resolving conflict, and holding each other accountable to our goals and ideals, change will be easier and more comfortable.

Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?

I'm a generalist, so I'm not particularly skilled at any one thing. Food preservation and growing/foraging food is a passion. Writing and naturalist skills are something I try to continually develop. Light carpentry. Organizing and leadership skills.
