Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition?
I'm a newbie, I'm trying to learn how to get involved!
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I identify with every effort to live more sustainably and natural. I want to learn more ways to be less dependent on corporations and more dependent on the land while also decreasing chemicals in my life. I've already taken strides in many of these areas, but want to continue to lessen the damage I make on the earth and be informed enough to share with others so that they too can live thinking about their impact on our environment and curbing their damaging behaviors.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
Hmm, that's a good question. I often have a lot of great ideas, but never know how to make them reality, I really want to learn more skills to then share with others. I know how to make kombucha, I make some of my own cleaning products, am familiar with alternatives to personal care products, and I know a bit about natural remedies.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Lettered Streets, Bellingham
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
I saw a sign at their meeting at the Cordata Co-op, that caught my attention so I went to the website to find out more.
Please note that you do not have to answer all of the above questions in order to join, and you can always come back later to edit your profile. If it's all too many questions for now, please provide a short answer below on why you'd like to join this site (or a summary of the above, if answered).
I'm driven to learn how to live more sustainably, less reliant on corporations, decreasing my exposure to chemicals, and decreasing the use of products that are harmful on the environment.
