How are you currently involved in the Transition?

Attempting to change my community towards greater resilience.

In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?

I have children. I realize they may not have the same life I have had, and it is very likely their children will face even greater challenges. I want to work to pave the way for their future as much as possible.

Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?

Interests: 1. Food security- growing our own, learning long term storage methods, and older (native and pre-petroleum) methods. 2. Direct solar methods (passive heating of living space and water, clothes drying) 3. Human adaptation to living low energy lives (readapting to walking distances, living without artificial temperature control, etc.)

In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?

Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?

Reading up on the Whatcom Peak Oil Task Force Report led me to the website.
