Thanks Kate & all who help create this great educational film series! I hope more folks will show up for the Age of Stupid film with last showing at Western. It is a movie worth seeing & staying afterwards for sharing discussion.
I thought so too. It kind of both leaves you speechless, but the impact also creeps up on you a few days later. I think its the guy looking "at you" from through the screen...a bit uncomfortable!

I just sent an inquiry to investigate the possibility of screening Velcrow Ripper's "Occupy Love."  Many have seen some of his shorts that have been on youtube, featuring Charles Eisenstein, etc.  Is a film about the Occupy movement appropriate for a Transition group to sponsor?  Judging by the excerpts I've seen so far, I'd say yes in this particular case. I see the film as being about much more than the Occupy movement.  It is the third of a 3 part trilogy (including Scared Sacred and Fierce Light). I imagine bringing in other co-sponsors, including, of course, Occupy Bellingham.

To get a sense of what Velcrow Ripper is about, see this event description on the TW calendar from Aug. 2010:

See the Occupy Love website here.
