Terry Meyer will speak on "The Story of the Spectacular Failure of Wind Power in Whatcom County" at the Huxley Speaker Series on February 6 at 4:00 in Communication Facility 110. In 2009, Mr. Meyer's Cascade Community Wind applied to build a wind turbine on Squalicum Mountain. Mr. Meyer will tell the story of wind in Whatcom County, relating its spectacular failure to a series of larger social and policy challenges. Free and open to the public, and I reserved a very large room for this event, so please come and bring your friends!
