This is one of our main rural neighbhor organizations! 

“Our mission is to protect and preserve the rural character of the Squalicum Valley and its surrounding environs; protect and preserve the Squalicum Valley Aquifer, the Lake Whatcom watershed; and to protect and preserve resource lands.”

“Squalicum Valley Community Association is a privately funded nonprofit organization, and was formed in July 2006 in response to a proposed development of nearly 700 forested acres on Squalicum Mountain. This development would significantly degrade a portion of the Lake Whatcom watershed, and destroy the rural character of our Valley. “
