Our Relationship with Nature and the Planet

One part of Heart and Soul work is recognizing why we need it! I thought I would kick this discussion off with a few questions -
1. What did your parents teach you about nature and your relationship to it?
2. Do you know what they were taught?
3. What kind of relationship do you have with nature?
4. What kind of relationship do you want... or need?
5. If you have children in your life, what would you want to teach them?

These are wonderful questions. I would love to get together in a group and talk about them. Typing answers to them over the internet feels like continuing that safe-false-intimacy thing that I think so many of us are trapped in because we communicate more through computers than face to face. I want more in-the-same-room connections with actual, pulsing, warm human beings. Maybe we could have a heart and soul gathering sometime?

Hi Chris, I soooo very much agree with you that it is important to get off the Internet, which has a kind of distancing effect from true intimacy, and I think we need very much to communicate with live humans....there is energy that exists when in the physical presence of others that does not come through on the 'net. And, I too can offer "counseling" types of communications, having worked as a counselor for many years. And, I also am very connected with nature, grew up in the backwoods, so that is another aspect where I can offer a great deal.

Cindi....I will just add this for you....recognizing why we need connection to nature - because we are nature!

Hi Katie! Re posting events. You could give it a go on posting by going to the Events tab a the top of the page.
It sometimes can take a couple tries when learning....but thats how I learned by trying it out.
Or, you can give me a phone call tonight, tues, if you want me to coach you through it, as I think we may both be up late tonight...I'll leave my phone on a bit later.
