Transition Whatcom

Thought we would post this on here as our ideal would be to live in a home that supports local self reliance and sustainability. Please pass this along and let us know if you have any leads.

We are a couple in our late twenties looking for a one or two bedroom home that is next to a park or outdoor recreation area with some form of bike access to town. Our ideal is for a natural and private setting but we are open to living anywhere that meets our general needs for a safe, relatively quite area. We hope to find a home that will allow us to garden and live as sustainably as possible and, if in town or close to busy roads, would ideally have a fenced yard. We are looking for a place around 900 a month and are open to higher rent (or obviously lower rent), but might need to sublet a room if rent is far more.

About us... We have two dogs 8 and 4 years old who are well trained and were previously therapy dogs. We are very active and enjoy skiing, hiking, biking, climbing, paddling, traveling etc.. We run a local Non-profit called Restorative Adventures that works to connect people with the nature and empower them to live meaningful and productive lives. We are clean, responsible, and reliable tenants with plenty of references both personal and professional in nature. We are on a month to month lease and need to give our landlord plenty of notice as to respect our agreement.
