Hello, my name is Benjamin and my girlfriend ran into a very generous lady named Elaine at the yorkys gas station in Fairhaven. Anyways, my girlfriends car was out of gas and Elaine put $45 in her tank! God bless her!!! Anyways, Elaine offered her a position through this organization harvesting crops for the foodbank.... Hi Benjamin,

The foodbank farm work is volunteer - it is a way to gain skills working  with plants and gardens, the gleaning associaton associated with the foodbank farm is also a way to network with farmers.  With skills gained in volunteering you can reach out to local farms to see if they need a hand with planting, weeding, harvesting.

Good luck to you - Forest garden has a crew that works in urban gardens but again this is an internship - voluteer position not a paying job.  I look forward to meeting you all and happy to help your girlfriend.
