Event Description

Whatcom Skillshare Faire! SAVE THE DATES!  August 23rd & 24 - Two days with camping!

"Share your skills – Trade your wares”
The Whatcom SkillShare Faire – a fun festival about teaching and learning all kinds of useful & practical resilience skills. Years ago, lots of people knew how to repair & sharpen tools, make a braided rug, raise chickens, make soap, build a fence, make simple toys, & much more.
The goal of SkillShare is to help revive those skills, showcase some new ones, and provide a place where all of us can come learn from people more experienced in these crafts and trades.
Our August-sunny Faire this year will have two days of family-friendly Workshops and Demonstrations, plus a great lineup of local Musical Talent, tasty local Food Offerings and the ever-popular local brewery Beer Garden and Fermentation Station.

I am with Transition Woodinville and would like to attend and sell Transition Free Press ($1.00) a new 24-page national tabloid newspaper from the UK reporting on stories that matter including  news, reviews and features, dedicated pages to energy, the land, people, economy, food, well-being, the arts, cartoons and sport.

How do I register for this?  Would I be a vendor?

Other ways to support - and enjoy! - the Skillshare Faire:

1. Sign up to present/demonstrate a resilience skill you're passionate about. Presenters get free entry and the joy of sharing their knowledge with others.

2. Sign up to be a volunteer during the Faire.  Volunteers have a lot of fun during the Faire - part of a big family - and get free entry and a meal at our famous volunteer kitchen!

3. Come enjoy the Faire!  Earlybird tickets on sale online: $20 for a weekend pass! ;
