Food enthusiast Amy Pennington is the creator and owner of GoGo Green Garden, an edible gardening business wherein she builds, plants and tends edible gardens for city folk in their backyards. In March of 2009 Amy launched UrbanGardenShare.org, a garden website that pairs city gardeners with unused garden space via an online matching site
Apartment Gardening by Amy Pennington covers everything readers need to start and tend their own urban gardens, including DIY projects and recipes for food and homemade sundries. Whether the free space is a large balcony or a tiny mason jar, gardeners will enjoy this fresh look at self-sustenance on a small scale.
This event is co-sponsored by Village Books, The Community Food Co-op and Sustainable Connections as part of September Eat Local Month.
