Event Description

Preserving your own fresh food is a deeply satisfying act.  Learn to store your garden harvest and make wonderful traditional foods by drying, fermenting, and preserving with oil, vinegar, alcohol, salt and sugar. Every culture has its flavors of floods made with traditional methods: pickles, pesto, sauerkraut, herbes aux Provence, kim che, hot sauce, etc. Instructions, recipes and inspiration included. Register through Whatcom Folk School.

Please consider providing a demonstration at the upcoming First Annual Whatcom SkillShare Faire this September 22.  We would LOVE to have you there showing how to make sauerkraut or something delicious like that!  Go to and let us know!!
