SB Roving Garden Party - 4/28 - Fairhaven - 6pm

Join Sustainable Bellingham's 3rd annual Roving Garden Party series, where volunteers help their neighbors create an edible garden. These fun events consist of approximately 90 minutes of gardening, followed by a shared meal. Everyone is welcome!

This week we’ll be at the The Center For Local Self Reliance (at the Caretaker’s House, http://www.caretakershouse.org/) in Fairhaven. The CLSR is on a mission to renovate and revitalize this historic site and offer the space for community members to practice and teach gardening and food preservation skills.

* Where: Where: 107 Chuckanut Dr., in Fairhaven Park near the corner of 12th St. and Chucknut Dr. (Rt.11) NOTE: Due to driveway repair and mud issues, please park in Fairhaven Park parking lot, and walk up to the Caretaker's house. MAP: http://caretakershouse.org/map.html.
* When: Thursday, April 28th, 6:00pm-9:00pm.
* Requested Items to Bring: work gloves. CLSR has shovels, and (3) wheel barrows.
* Tasks: Fill new beds with top soil, mulch with straw, wood chip new paths, possibly sheet mulch new planting area.
* Food: Soup and bread will be provided. Bring your own beverage.
