Event Description

Don't waste your freezer space or burn fossil fuels running a dehydrator and canner all fall to stock your pantry with winter food! Many of the best winter foods are those that are harvested in the fall and stored using low-tech methods. Learn the tricks for "root cellaring" potatoes, winter squash, onions, garlic, root crops, and more. Root cellar not required! 

REGISTER THROUGH WHATCOM FOLK SCHOOL at www.whatcomfolkschool.org or 319-7495. $15 registration fee to WFS plus sliding scale $10-$20 class fee to instructor. Pay one registration fee to WFS and take as many classes in the series as you like.
