SUM11-29  LIVING DEMOCRACY: A WORKSHOP                                                                         with Stoney Bird                                                                                                                                                                                 

         {C}: July 13, Wednesday, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm                                                                                        

         {D}: July 28, Thursday, 10:00 am – noon                                                                                                

Each workshop will engage the students in the question of whether the United States operates on principles of democracy and sustainability. Does the Constitution provide for democracy and sustainability? Does the legal system? Who gets to decide what happens in local communities? What would it take for there to be democracy? Do the environmental laws provide for ecological sustainability? What rights do ecosystems have, or should they have? What do we need to do?

  • Registration Fee per A, B, C, D: $15 + Location Fee: Wed. classes: $6;  Thurs. classes: $2
  • Instructors Fee per A, B, C, D: $10 + Materials Fee:  no more than $10
