The lovely, inspiring, engaging Frankie Moore Lappe, giant of the environmental movement, is coming to Bellingham with her new book, aptly titled for Transition folks:
Like her classic Diet for a Small Planet, Ecomind: changing the way we think to create the world we want, is challenging, controversial and empowering.
The free book reading and signing will be held at the Crystal Ballroom of the Leopold Retirement Residence at 7:00 pm.
A pre-event ticketed reception ($20) with Frankie will be held from 5-6:30pm as a benefit for the Farm Fund. Tickets will be available at Village Books, the downtown Food Co-op and at brownpapertickets.com. Limited tickets are available for this special reception - get yours today!
The entire evening is brought to you by Village Books, and is co-sponsored by the Community Food Co-op and Sustainable Connections (www.eatlocalfirst.org).
