We do these workshops the first Sunday of every month. Learn and share skills such as how to identify edible, medicinal and poisonous plants, track animals, hunt, fish, weave baskets, make survival shelters, flint knap, understand bird language, and other skills our ancestors depended on to thrive in their ecosystems. These outings are geared for adults. Bring a knapsack, first aid kit, water bottle, lunch and appropriate clothing.
To attend, you will need to join Fertile Ground. You can do this at the event or on our website. Membership is $10 and is valid through the rest of 2009. Membership also allows you access to all Fertile Ground events including Bear Cubs (organized outdoor games and activities for children), Post Petroleum Survival (learn skills such as gardening, permaculture, preserving food, self-defense, bicycle repair, carpentry without power tools), Mountain Hikes, Papa Bear (men's group), Mama Bear (women's group), and many other events and activities.
