FABULOUS FERMENTATION
with Permaculture Chef Bruce Horowitz
July 27, Wednesday, 7 - 9 pm,
at the Center for Local Self Reliance
(The Caretaker's House & Garden, 107 Chuckanut Dr., is in Fairhaven Park near the corner of 12th St. and Chucknut Dr. (Rt.11) in Bellingham, WA.)
Learn about the magic of fermented cabbage and other vegetables in the Kim Chee Garden! Culturing vegetables is a fun and delicious way to nutritiously preserve the harvest while enhancing nutrition and digestibility. In this class, we will demystify the various techniques for making sauerkraut and kim chee.
Students will leave with a 32 oz mason jar of sauerkraut or kim chee to ferment at home!
Registration Fee: $15 + Location Fee: $2
