Our April Program will explore the pros and cons of the proposed development of a large pier and cargo terminal at Cherry Point. A four person panel will share their views of the project: Bob Watters, V.P. of SSA Marine and Craig Cole will advocate for the project while Bob Ferris and Matt Krogh of RESources For Sustainable Communities will detail potential problems with the concept.
We expect this program to be very well attended, so get there early to get a seat. Lunch service will begin at 11:45.
See the links below for excellent background information on the subject.
NOTE: Due to the anticipated very large crowd at Bellingham & the Cherry Point Coal Port meeting we have reserved 20 tables (200 seats) for our members only. An additional 5 tables (50 seats) will be set aside for non-members. We urge you to arrive early (11:15) and we will begin serving lunch at 11:40. Our program will begin at 12:15.
