Glad you could use the pot for the plants! I wonder if you got all dug that you wanted to dig? Maybe another day or evening you can call us in to work together...ask your community for all the help you desire!
When you're done with the posts, before the end of the year...Sandie L would like to get the larger 2 & 3 gallons ones back...Ok to pass empty pots on to me in case you aren't heading out there...and no worries cause we are glad they are helpful!
Hi Mark! Thanks for posting Event info for the Food Potluck with a Purpose.
I posted the info on the TW group: "Local Food Security Events Planning Team" http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/group/localfoodsecurityeventsplanningteam
I noticed you weren't a member and I think your settings are set up so I cannot send you a group invite...but you can click "Join' if you want.
One of us should also post this event on the 'Organic Gardeners...Permi' group so it will go out to the 100 folks there that may have an interest, and be sure it gets in Shannon's Garden E-News & David's Sustain. B'ham. (Can you do?)
Thanks for your phone call & offers of help in regards to Larry Korns visit, though it will be postponed.
I still have you done as an RSVP for the Weds May 12 "Walking Gaia's Gardens". Great if you can also RSVP on event page too.
I think Juliet will come in time for Jasmin's and then food at Christys. http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/events/walking-gaias-gardens
Brian- I left an email in your personal email, I believe; anyhow, check it out- since it's time to choose a date by the Sun. seed swap, whaddya think? For me, 3/7, 3/14, 3/20 or 21- any will do fine. I guess we should be encouraging folks to cut and refrigerate scion wood now for that day...
give a shout,
Hi Mark lets look at doing it on the 7th or the 13th. the 13th might be better because it would give people more time to collect wood and for us to order root stock.
Hi Mark. I was trying to get my order in with burnt ridge this week but it hasn't happened yet. Looks like they have full sized trees as well I will get a good selection. As far as dates go, the 13 is TW great unleashing so if we wanted to do it after that on a saturday that would be the 20th. This might be getting kind of late depending if this winter fizzles out into spring without any more hard freezes. Buds are already starting to swell. Let me know what you think. It would be good to have dates picked out before the seed exchange so that we can let folks know.
Hi Mark! I'm also a gardener! Glad you joined our Organic Gardening-Edible Forest & Permaculture group! I have gardened all over the country...and still do when I travel or teach.
I wonder if we have met at any of the rolving garden-work parties, or if you've walked through two of the Birchwood gardens I'm connected with – at Jamin & also Christy's.
I'll look forward to what you offer re fruit-root stocks and hope you can attend our next seed-swap!
