Sell your weed whacker and pick up a scythe! Maintain your body not your lawn mower and weed whacker. Learn the sharper points of this elegant tool. Scythes are thought to be old school, but better blades and better ergonomics makes them one of the most efficient tools out there. Get your exercise and cut the grass at the same time. Learn what makes a good scythe, what to look for in picking a mowing outfit for your needs and how to properly maintain and use it for years to come.
If you already use a scythe, bring it and get expert coaching to increase your skills at sharpening or to refine your scything technique. The Workshop will be geared towards what the participants are interested in learning about scythes and for experienced scythers who want to increase their skills. Hope you can join us!

Here is a bit of what the scythe can do for you! This was shot a number of years ago by Paul Wheaton of Permies.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mqFl86BOck ;
Hope you all can join us
As the grass is starting to grow, we are getting ready to mow! Now is the time to look at your tools and see if they need any maintenance, sharpening, oiling or adjusting. Also if you are considering getting a new setup you can contact Alexander at http://scytheworks.com/catalogue.html and see if he has what you are looking for. I will have a few blades here available for purchase but they will need to have a snath made for them. (One of my upcoming workshops)
Also to make sure you reserve you space please register using our pay-pal button on the website. http://www.inspirationfarm.com/newif/Classes.html
Look forward to seeing everyone in the field.
