Downtown Meeting

March's meeting will focus on homelessness and will also include the unveiling of the Mayor’s Community Solutions Workgroup’s recommendations to enhance on Downtown Health and Safety. Local experts on homelessness will provide an overview of the homeless outreach and housing services that operate throughout the City and in Downtown Bellingham, followed by Q&A. They will also introduce the first installment of a new video series being produced locally: Homeless in Bellingham.

Vanessa Blackburn, Community Outreach Coordinator for the City of Bellingham, will also be on hand to publicly present the findings and recommendations of the Mayor’s Community Solutions Workgroup on Downtown Health and Safety. The workgroup convened selected community stakeholders and City staff to provide recommendations for these downtown challenges and we will share and discuss the culminations of its work.
