HOME WHATCOM is inviting you to an informational meeting regarding the proposed Ranch Quarry Mine.
The proposed mine will be on the corner of Frost and South Pass Road. Cowden/LaFarge/ Amrize will clear cut, blast and excavate 64 acres over the next 60 plus years with up to 100 double rigged trucks a day during peak summer excavation.
The county has issued a Determination of Significance which means they understand that this will have huge impacts on our community and environment. We want everyone to understand what impacts are anticipated and how this may affect our foothills way of life.
