Awakening Passion, Purpose and Hope - a monthly circle based on Joanna Macy's work

   Our feelings about what is happening in our world, when minimized or silenced, create numbness, isolation and despair.  When shared, we experience our connection with each other, and arouse the passion and knowing we need to creatively engage in the healing of our world.

  Joanna Macy has developed the Work that Reconnects as a way to bring people together, looking clearly at what is happening in our world, and supporting each other in our unique paths to empowered engagement.

The idea behind a monthly circle is:  to provide ongoing support; and to get to know each other, building a strong and respectful community for sharing what is true and real.

In order to facilitate a safe circle, I am asking people to commit to 6 meetings. The first couple of meetings will be open to newcomers, but after that the group will be closed until after the 6 meetings.

Fee:  Sliding Scale - $15-$25 per evening.  I want everyone who sincerely wants to join this circle to be able to come. If even the low end of the sliding scale is a hardship, please let me know.

Facilitator:  Emily Farrell, MA LMHC is a psychotherapist in private practice in Bellingham, with  over 25 years of clinical experience. She has participated in several trainings with Joanna Macy, most recently a 9-day facilitator’s intensive in August 2012. She also has many years of experience with ecopsychology, meditation, wilderness spirit quests.
