Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition?
I'm not! But I'd like to be!
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I recently graduated from WWU's Honors College where our coursework in many ways reflected the principles of the Transition, and was in and of itself a community of practice that reflected the process. I am currently an AmeriCorps VISTA at the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center and believe that our mission of creative conflict resolution and restorative justice could be greatly aided by the work done by the Transition.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I have skills in qualitative research, community building, networking, marketing, event planning, and collective imagination that I'd like to bring. I am unendingly curious about systems, processes, and practices. I am always around to ask the next difficult question to explore the narratives that shape our actions and communities.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Downtown Bellingham
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
I started somewhere around www.collectiveimagination.tools and somehow found myself here through a lot of excited link clicking and resource reading.
Please note that you do not have to answer all of the above questions in order to join, and you can always come back later to edit your profile. If it's all too many questions for now, please provide a short answer below on why you'd like to join this site (or a summary of the above, if answered).
I believe that collective imagination and the embracing and exploration of change is essential to good community building, and I'd like to be here for it.
