Event Description

'Tis the season to be educating ourselves about the candidates running for local election. The election forums are among the best ways to assess candidates. Unless you check the Herald everyday or listen to KGMI radio, it's hard to even be informed enough to know when the election forums are being held. This is from the B'ham Herald...

The Whatcom Tea Party will host local candidates for elected office at forums on the next two Wednesdays, July 17 and 24.The free public forums will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:30.

The July 17 event will feature Whatcom County Council candidates at Ferndale High School, 5830 Golden Eagle Drive.

All council candidates were confirmed participants except Rud Browne, who had a schedule conflict.

The July 24 forum at Bellingham High School, 2020 Cornwall Ave., features candidates for Bellingham City Council and the Port of Bellingham Commission. All those candidates are expected to participate.
