From Bellingham: take Meridian north to Laurel, take a right, go about 2.5 miles go across at the Hannegan Rd, drive .6 miles to a small white house on the left with trees in front. The mailbox reads 1087.
Pull into the driveway past the house and park, if that’s full just park in the driveway.
Bring: Shovels, pruning saws, gloves, pruning shears, hand pruners would be good to bring. Wear good boots or shoes. There are some shovels, pruners, saws, gloves and other tools available.
Tasks: Planting a few trees, mulching native trees, removing alders and blackberries, and working on the vegetable garden that iws currently mostly weeds and grass that has been mowed so it would be a lot of removing sod to compost, and putting in plants and seeds and maybe some supports
Food: Vegetarian Lentil soup, and Lentil Soup, probably with grass fed beef, salad and non-GMO cornbread. I would love to have someone help set up the food while I organize the tasks to be done. There will be a campfire and a chance to socialize afterwards, also marshmallows and s'mores.
