Event Description

Where:  Goose Creek is located at 5210 E. North St, off of Northshore Drive.

At the top of Alabama hill take a left and follow Northshore Drive around the lake.

Continue straight about a mile past Britton Rd.

Turn Left on E. North St. (2 streets past Academy Rd)

Continue straight ahead up the long gravel driveway. Please drive slowly up the driveway.

Park anywhere at the top of the driveway. Carpooling encouraged as parking is a bit limited.

What to Bring:  It would be great if volunteers could bring extra shovels and wheelbarrows.  We have one wheelbarrow on the property and 3 or 4 shovels.

Tasks:  Planting out the rest of the existing garden beds and possibly putting in 2 new beds in the fenced-in garden.  Weeding the rhubarb, strawberries, and wherever else is needed.  Transplanting tomatoes into larger pots.  Also possibly building a raised bed for an herb garden if there is time and energy.

Food:  Indian feast - dahl, potatoes, rice and naan, and something sweet for dessert.  All vegan gluten-free (except the naan), and I'll try to limit the spiciness for folks that are sensitive to spicy.
