Where: 2339 West Street, in Columbia Neighborhood, just one block from Eldridge. Old 1 1/2 story blue house with white picket fence…lots of street parking around nearby including in front of our house.
Requested Items to Bring: Special tools or gear, like shovels, pitchforks, gloves, buckets, pruning shears, etc. gloves, a couple more shovels, and probably one or two more pruning shears for the raspberries.
Tasks: Turning soil, weeding, pruning and staking raspberries, planting seeds or starts (and maybe offering some advice about what should go where), digging a big hole and planting a grape vine,
Food: Probably cooking a whole salmon on the grill, marinated vegetable salad, black bean quinoa salad, grilled roasted potatoes (All those will be gluten-free; salads = vegan), apple pie and berry pie, beer and near beer, and lemon/soda water. Most of the food will be already prepared, but I may need some help setting up- in the yard or inside depending on the weather.
Host: Kate Clark and Leigh Wirth
