From our friends at Transition Seattle and Sustainable NE Seattle: A Century of Challenges Part II is a comprehensive analysis of energy, finance and the interaction between the two from a big picture perspective. Nicole Foss (AKA Stoneleigh) offers a roadmap for what is coming and why, and also what people can do individually and together in the face of this most significant of predicaments.
Nicole Foss blogs as Stoneleigh at the website The Automatic Earth and is a former editor of The Oil Drum - Canada. Ms Foss is an internationally known speaker on the subject of Peak Oil and the collapse of the global financial system. Her presentation was the most talked about event at last year's Transition Conference in the U.K.
* Correction on the address:
The address of Greenwood Senior Center in Seattle is 525 N 85th St, not 525 Greenwood North as indicated on the June 4 Nicole Foss event. This is on 85th St between Aurora Ave N and Greenwood N. From I-5 take exit to 85th St & proceed west until you see it. The only challenge is to find a parking spot.
Comment
Now confirmed that Nicole Foss will be making an appearance much closer to home, on Lummi Island, June 2nd. Carpooling definitely encouraged.
