Event Description
Movie: Dancing with the Dead, plus a special program with award-winning director Ward Serrill and Spring Cheng, a native Chinese and Bellingham resident, whose poetry-songs are featured in the movie.
This movie tells the story of Red Pine, a hippie and a Zen Buddhist, who found a sense of belonging as he turned into a world renowned translator of Chinese classic poetry and sutra. It also explored how the Chinese hermit and spiritual heritage has survived capitalism and influenced world culture and many people through poetry and art. Get tickets here.
