We never know when an emergency situation will occur. Be prepared by learning in advance what plants to use and the best ways to use them – whether the emergency occurs at home, on the road, or in the wilderness.
We’ll create a first aid kit with wild harvested plants from the field to heal wounds, infections, muscle trauma; soothe rashes and stop allergic reactions, shock conditions, heat exhaustion.
You’ll learn how to make herbal poultices, compresses and other on-the-spot fixes. In addition, you’ll get a list of essential items to have in your first aid kit including clays, cayenne pepper, homeopathic remedies, bandages and more.
We will be out in the field for part of the workshop harvesting and then returning to the classroom to prepare the remedies.
Dress for the weather; bring clippers, a paring knife, 2 (4 0z) jelly jars, 4 oz each Witch Hazel and 100 proof or 151 Vodka, and a few small bags for herbal harvesting.
