Event Description
Chuckanut Transition is hosting this preliminary Emergency Preparedness Planning Meeting to measure interest and make a plan on how to proceed. Alger Volunteer Fire Department Chief will direct us in these earliest planning stages. We hope to initiate a working group that will lead this project into the longterm.
At this preliminary meeting, topics up for possible discussion are:
- During an emergency how do we communicate? Phone tree? Ham radio?
- What training do we need? CERTS? CPR?
- What are our needs and available resources? Equipment? Skills?
- What are the limitations of existing organizations and agencies?
