Food systems stakeholders across the state - from farmers to advocates, food bankers to climate change activists - are gearing up for community wide conversations on a draft 25-year vision and roadmap for a sustainable food system in WA.
This vision was drafted by the WA State Food Systems Roundtable, a broad multi-sector coalition made up of public and private partners representing the major sectors that describe the food system.
Between October 24th and November 17th, Roundtable members will convene nine live conversations in key areas of the state, and they’re inviting to join them. They will be in Bellingham on October 25th, from 6-9pm. You can find them at PeaceHealth St.Luke’s Community Health Education Center. If you cannot attend but would like to read the Prospectus and provide feedback, visit wafoodsystem.weebly.com.
