How are you currently involved in the Transition?: I am a student at Western, about to graduate (June 2011) and am very interested in becoming involved with sustaianable agriculture, permaculture, biodynamic farming methods and community projects.

In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?: I am motivated to help find ways of expanding a greater awareness of farming, food culture, self-sufficiency and nutritious and healthy lifestyles for others particularly in my generation. I would like to find the balance of traditional and modern knowledge of living in a productive community with very different people. I value the discussion of these issues between people of various generations in pursuit of a more holistic understanding.

Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?: I am enthusiastic about learning and experiencing new things. I love to hear stories from people about how they farm, live, work, play, and create. I am an excellent weed puller and enjoy cooking food as well as building chicken coops.

In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?: Sehome Neighborhood

Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?: From the fine folks at Inspiration Farm!
