Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition?
Hemp advocacy, Co-operative development, Community Rights and Bio-Intensive agriculture ignite the Transition in my world.

I provide hemp education and coordinate Hemp History Week events locally and nationally. I believe utilizing hemp to its fullest potential will enable communities to be self-sufficient.

I am also a member of the Community Food Co-op's Member Affairs Committee. We are excited to be working on a Co-operative Education Program.

Additionally, I am on the steering committee of Stand Up Whatcom. SUW is a group dedicated to educate community about our country's democratic history, empower community to embrace inherent rights to self-governance, and bring a Community Bill of Rights to Whatcom County's ballot.

Finally, my husband, Justin Bartolini, is a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Permaculture world. We are cultivating a Bio-Intensive garden in our yard and look forward to sharing these techniques with our community.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Skill sharing, growing, processing and storing food, animal husbandry, bee keeping, building your own...all excite me to no end!

I believe a healthy community is a living, breathing entity which must be cultivated. Consumerism = destruction, community = health. I look forward to continuing to engage my community to cultivate a thriving, resilient future.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
Hemp, Community Bill of Rights, and Co-op's are what I really know.
I'm building skills in food production and storage, animal husbandry, and fermentation.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
York Neighborhood

Hi Nancy, thanks for friend request.  Sorry I was late in seeing it...Did you want to volenteer with seed swap?  Send me email & I'll connect you to SB board who is taking lead on organizing with the seed team.
